Pamela Joan O’Hara, 71, of Salida died June 25, 2020 after battling with cancer.

She was born November 2, 1948 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Wendell and Evelyn Anderson as one of seven children.  She grew up on a rural farm in Kearney, Nebraska.

Pamela graduated from Kearney High School in 1967, and continued her studies at the University of Nebraska in Kearney.  She then moved to Fort Collins and spent many years working as a travel agent, traveling extensively around the world.

She worked in sales and finance in the RV industry as well, but her love of sewing kept bringing her back to her work as a professional seamstress, both privately and for Melanzana in Leadville and Phunkshun Wear in Silverthorne.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Pam had a big heart for animals, and she loved her cat.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and gardening.

Survivors include her daughter Sheena O’Hara of Salida, Granddaughters Maya and Willow O’Hara of Salida, daughter Erin (Chris) Collier of Texas, Grandchildren Christy, Livia, and Jacob Collier of Texas. Sister Connie VanMetre of Oregon, Sister Barb (Mark) Wendell of Nebraska, Sister Betty Cox of Oregon, Sister Wendy (Ross) Lampshire of Loveland, Brother Mike (Wendy) Anderson of Denver, and Sister Mary (Brent) Boerkircher of Nebraska.  She is also survived by 14 neices and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother.

Arrangements were made with Bailey-Kent Funeral Home.

Family and friends will gather to spread her ashes amongst the wildflowers at a date to be yet determined.
