Music by The Piano Brothers

Judi went to the Lord unexpectedly on May 27, 2020, while at her beloved cabin outside of Leadville, Colorado. Her love for the mountains and her love for quilting combined perfectly for 60 years of enjoyment and peace at the cabin by the lake.

Judi Johnson was born in Denver to Dewey and Sally Johnson and graduated from George Washington High School.  She and her husband Bill fell in love early in life and enjoyed 58 years of marriage with three lovely children and two grandsons.  Judi is remembered by family and friends as a kind and lovely person with a warm heart and a great big hug.

Her talent shown bright in her love of quilting, a career that spanned many years making her many friends in all the cities she and Bill lived throughout the years.  She thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of finding and taking on new patterns with new and varied colors.  Her quilts have and will be a delight of many family and friends. And her knack for antiques and decorating made her home a place of wonder and delight for family and visitors.

Her love of shelties also filled hers and her family’s life.  She absolutely loved her many shelties who were companions over her lifetime in times of joy and tribulations.

Judi is survived by her husband Bill Heck; her son Pete Heck and grandson Miles; her daughter Laura Heck; and her daughter Sarah Heck Dolinar and grandson Jake; as well as her sister Kathy Parry of AZ and many nieces and nephews.

Please consider a donation to the Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue (www.colliesheltierescue.org/info/contact) or to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum (www.rmqm.org) as you remember how Judi’s life intertwined with yours.
