Albert Glen Maes, 57, of Leadville, Colorado passed away on May 10, 2019 in Leadville. He was born on January 15, 1962 in Leadville to Noah and Phylis P. Maes. He graduated from Lake County High School and worked for the town of Vail.
Albert was a member of Leadville Elk’s Lodge, #236 and enjoyed woodworking, remodeling his home, bow hunting, fishing, walks in the mountains, and car shows where he received several awards for his 1972 Nova.  He also enjoyed going to Moab, Utah and Salida, Colorado every year with his friends to the car shows.
He is survived by his little dog Lola; brother Gilbert F. Maes, Sr.; sisters Carol (William) Martinez, Donna (Adam) Martinez, Dorothy (Rudy) Maestas and Nancy V. Maes; nephews Gilbert Mae,s Jr., Clarence (Penny) Maes, Steven (Samantha) Maestas and Adam B. Martinez; niece Melissa A. Maestas; great nephew Alexander Noah Maes and many aunts, uncles and cousins; his best friend Keith Mastin and many other friends. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Joseph N. Maes.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leadville. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leadville with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Leadville. A reception will follow the Interment, at Leadville Elks Lodge, #236.
