Dan Sandoval, Vail Valley resident of 30 plus years passed away on September 20, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. As an avid outdoors man who loved nothing more than to play guitar, harmonica, sing, and be around his family and friends, he left a profound legacy of love and laughter. Dan was married to Marcella (Romero) Sandoval for a wonderful 53 years, leaving behind a marriage and family who loved him dearly.

Survived by his wife Marcella Sandoval, children Steve (Sheila), Donna Fastwolf, Valerie Comroe (Tim), Brenda Gallegos (Darryl), and Tomasita Salazar (Danny), grandchildren Carlos, Justin, Isabella, Marcus, Jordan, Sam, Thomas, Brittany, Alyssa, Darilyn, Danielle, Darryl Jr., Avionna, Brenden, and Kartel, great-grandchildren Janaiya and Mateo, siblings Louella Scott, David Sandoval, Arturo Sandoval, Margie Sandoval, Glenda Lovato, and Debra Lopez.

Born to Ernesto and Rosa Sandoval on April 6, 1946, Dan was raised by his grandparents Daniel and Mauriblia Sandoval in Rio Lucio, New Mexico. With an incredible work ethic Dan spent his life as a successful tradesman and business owner. Throughout his life he never once ever strayed from his ideals of being a strong, independent man who wanted nothing more than to shed his light, laughter, and knowledge on everyone he crossed paths with.

A celebration of Dan's life is planned for Thursday, Sept. 27, at 5pm at 305 McGregor Dr, Gypsum, CO 81637. A mass for the repose of his soul will take place at 10:30am Friday, Sept. 28th, at St. Mary’s Church, 215 Capitol St, Eagle, CO 81631.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” ~ Corinthians 13:4-8

Sandoval family, I am so sorry for your loss. I spent my childhood years with the Sandoval family and Dan was always very good to me. God Bless you all.
