Oh! My dear Uncle Victor, I pray that you are now pain free and already with our Lord!. Uncle, I will never forget your kindness and will always remember how much you loved your wife, daughters (Val and the coco-man) and Little Victor Lee. Thank you for letting me babysit your kids (my cousins) and letting me be a part of your family's life (even if it was only during my younger years..again I will never forget the memories)! You RIP, tell my Daddy, Aunt Betty and Uncle Louie Hi/I love and miss them - for me - OK? Always and forever your niece! Luv/kisses Susie

To The Martinez Family

I've known Vic for more years than either of us would openly admit. Some of my first memories of mining stem from visiting the Irene with my Father, and talking to Vic as he ran the hoist. I clearly remember his words to me at Black Cloud- "Never let anybody remove this cross (which he had placed on the hoist control panel)- It's what protects the guys down below."

Vic was also the first chainsaw artist I knew. His "miner" adorned the Black Cloud Road for many years.

I am proud that Vic was my friend. The world is a better place for him being here.

3-1 Vic. Hoist all the way up. Vaya Con Dios.

Uncle Victor
You are a great man. I loved visiting with you and just hearing the sound of your voice and mostly your knowledge. Thank you and The Lord for all the time we had together. You will greatly be missed and always in my heart. You are the best gift heaven has received.

Love you Uncle Vic. R.I.P

Thank you my friends and family for all your love for my precious daddy,
my dads new journey has started and we wish we could be with him. We will always have
my dad with us as we see his beautiful mountains lakes and rivers. His spirit lives on through
these things, his blood still runs through ours, and through us he will always live on.
He truly was a legend that made Leadville the wild west that it was.
Truly, thank you everyone for your love and support. And never forget dad loved all of you
just as much!
