Wayne Faidiga, 75, lifelong resident of Leadville, Colorado passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  He was born on January 11, 1938 in Brookfield, Missouri to Ward Savier and Mary (Johnson) Faidiga.  He married Edie (Pottorff) Faidiga on June 1, 1974 in Arvada, Colorado.  They were married 38 years.
Wayne graduated from Leadville High School and served in the Army from 1959 to 1962.  He was a mechanic and welder for 38 years at Climax Mine where he retired.  He was a Life Member of Leadville Elk’s Lodge #236, a Life Member, Past President and Trustee of Leadville Fraternal Order of Eagles #91, a Life Member of the Leadville Rod and Gun Club and a member of the National Rifle Association.  He loved small engine repair, car and truck mechanic work, hunting, fishing and all animals.
Wayne is survived by his wife Edie, daughters Helen and Jody Faidiga, mother Mary Faidiga, brother John (Darlene) Faidiga, sisters Agnes (Fred) Fabian and Mary Jo (Earl) Brito, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and brother Frank Faidiga.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Leadville Elk’s Lodge #236 with a reception to follow at the Lodge.  Burial will be private.  Bailey-Kent Funeral Home of Leadville is assisting the family with arrangements.

So sorry to hear about Wayne. Jim and he can have a big get-to-gether now.

We are so very sorry to here of the death of our friend , Wayne . He & his wife have been great friends for a long time . Wayne was a man of honor . This showed in his every day life . I felt very sad to learn of the death of our good friend . My wife & me will be there Sunday .GOD BLESS OUR FRIEND , WAYNE .OUR LORD HAS A GREAT MAN TO HELP IN THE DAY BY DAY TASKS .He will be missed very much by all of his friends .GOD , MAY HE REST IN PEACE . He is in a much better place now. GOD BLESS , The Hayes family .

To my dad with love.I will miss you.words can't express the hurt and lose that I feel right now. I just wish we would of been closer in life but you were always in my heart and thoughts.I will I promise be there for my mother Eddie and and will never let her be alone.I LOVE YOU DAD and will miss you.
